Sorting by first digit ex... 1,11,123,2,21,212,3,32,323 etc.

I have a column of numbers that I want to sort by the first digit. What is
the best way to accomplish this?

Hi
in an adjacent cell put
=LEFT(A1,1)
and sort with this helper column

Define your cells as text, rather than numbers.
