Sorting in Excel

Hy again!

I know how to sort from the last column or from the first column but
not from the middle column.
I have let's say 10 columns and I would like to sort the third column
and that all the other nine columns are sorted by that column! How can
that be done?
Thanks!

Do you mean manually? If so, select the 10 columns, go to Data>Sort, then
the dropdowns give you the first item in each column, so you can select
which is the key column. You can the select two further sort columns.

Hi Marko,
Before you start your sort, select all columns
(which is the same as select all cells)
Ctrl+A select all cells (except NOT in Excel 2003 which violates all reasonable use)
Ctrl+Shift+SpaceBar will work in place of Ctrl+A (use this in Excel 2003)

Use of the shortcut will not change the active cell, unlike the Select ALL button.
Not changing the active cell will help in using the Sort menu, as it will provide
the first column to be sorted. Also helps but doesn't make the sort ascending/descending
buttons reliable for normal use.

Thanks! Just the answer I was looking for! :)
You asked manually, is there a better way? Please teach me!
Thanks!
