Sorting on computed value in a form

I am new to Access and trying to learn from the bottom up. I have the
following problem.

I have a form that groups some items together and computes the averages of
the values. Access then sorts the data by the alphabetical order of the
groups rather than the desired computed average. Is this possible to do?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
