Sorting with colored cells

I have data where certain cells of my range are colored..
i want to sort on the basis of color.. is there are way???

General way is to add a helper column that gets the colorindex, and then
sort by that column.

A simple function to get the colorindex

Function GetColorindex(rng As Range)
GetColorindex = rng.Interior.Colorindex
End Function

in the w/s, =GetColorindex(A1)
