Sorting with Sheet Protection On

We are working with a worksheet that has the first two rows protected. Is it
possible to sort the columns under the first two rows with the protection on?
When we highlight and try to sort, the sort option is grayed out.

When you protect the worksheet, there is a list that says "Allow all users of
this worksheet to:". Check "Sort".
