sound hyperlinks to a picture

When you click on a graphic that links to a sound file, Windows Media Player
opens up to play the sound file. How can I click on the link and just hear
the sound without Windows Media Player opening up? Thanks in advance.

I don't have Flash. FP used to simply play the music without opening Windows
Media. There must be a way.
