Hi

I had a lot of different sound files (wav) in one PPT page in PPT 2004;
when I clicked on one "sound icon" the sound played until I clicked another
sound icon on same page and the new sound was played and the first sound was
stopped.

But when I am using this PPT in 2008 the first sound doesn't stop playing...
So when I click a sound icon the sound playes, but when I then click the
next sound file it starts playing but the first sound is not stopping and
you will hear 2 sounds at the same time. How do I make the first sound stop?

I have like 15 different sound files/icons in one page and I must be able to
click on the sounds icons in any order!

Thx!!!

Best Regards

I do not know if this will help because it only works in order, but if
you set your custom animation sound settings (under more effects--
options---sound -- pull down menu to (stop previous sound) and in your
ppt show, do NOT click on a specific sound, but rather simply click,
the first sound will stop when the second starts. I tried this
with .wav file only right now.

Hi!

Thx!!

do think it is possible to do it in any order? Should I maybe use one ppt page per sound file and jump between them?

Or is it possible to set strict ppt 2004 functionality in 2008?

Or use macro?

Best!

I have been over this 2000 times, troubleshooting the situation. In short, PPT 08 doesn't have the flexibility that 04 has. In shorter - you can't do it. I finally downgraded back to 04.

Hi,

The answer has been posted already several times.

In PowerPoint 2008 you make a separate sound fine. When you use File >
Save As Movie, click the Move Options button. Under Media Settings >
Background soundtrack click Select Soundtrack and navigate to the
soundtrack file.
