Sound Levels

Hi.
When I added a wav file to my presentation, it was too loud. I tried to
adjust the sound levels in the effect options, but it gives me either too
loud or, if I put the slider lower, then no sound at all. I have PowerPoint
2003.

Although PPT does have some audio level controls, it is best to open the
audio file in an outside application, adjust volume and then reinsert. There
are lots of good audio editors editors, just do a search on Google or check
download.com. I can recomend downloading the free GoldWave
(www.goldwave.com), which is very user friendly and will allow you to adjust
as needed.
