sound trouble in powerpoint

Greetings...
Can anyone tell me how to insert a sound into Powerpoint presentation?
Not with link to that file but embedded in it (when I right-click on it to
display message "Contained in Presentation"). I tried with changing the link
size file but it doesn't work.
Thanks!

See if this is what you need:

While your PPT presentation is displayed on the screen to the slide where
you want the sound (any audio that can come through the speakers should
work,) click Insert, Movies and Sounds, Record sound. A dialog will open.
With this open, start Windows Media Player (WMP) and open the sound file you
want to play. Make sure that both the dialog from PPT and the WMP play icon
are visible. Start the recording by clicking on the Red circle and then
immediately click on the play icon on WMP. Once the information has been
recorded, click on the stop icon in PPT. Name the file to something unique.
The sound is now embedded in PPT and a sound icon will be placed on the
slide. You can then automate the icon to play when the slide is opened or
when clicked.

There may be other ways to do it but I know that this method will work. To
prove it you need to right click on the object and then click on Edit sound
object. At the bottom of the edit window it will indicate "File: [Contained
in presentation]" and the time duration of the sound.
