Sources for good cartoon characters

hello:

I have to put a presentation together.

Once upon a time I saw this presentation, where a cartoon character (Fred),
went through the topic and through various gestures and facial expressions
told a story, where the text was typed in by the power point presenter.

Does anyone know if there is a good site, where I could download a whole set
of images of a single character with a all types of expressions that I can
then utilize?
