-I bought a new lap top with Office 2007 trial version installed. I
uninstalled the trial version and loaded a new version of Office Enterprise
2007 and Project Manager 2007. Now I can't get SP 2 to install. Any
suggestions?

Error messages would be nice! Can't get it to install doesn't help us help
you much.

What version of the operating system? Did you uninstall Office's activation
wizard before installing your version?

All I get is operation failed. I'm running XP.

The MS FAQ site under the Office 2003 SP refers to the registery key and the
path for the orginal install source. That might be the problem. I probably
should have installed Enterprise over the trial version.

This am I tried to open an online fincial Calculator and Java failed to load
multiple times and displayed a "path" error. But, I just tried it again to
get the correct wording of the error and it loaded, no problem.

I guess I'll try to load the SP again.

Of course I started playing before I made a recovery CD, so I just ordered
one from the Laptop manufacturer.

This was much easier with MSDOS and Windows 3X.

No you should not have installed Enterprise or any other paid version of
Office over a trial version. That almost always has issues.

Since Enterprise is a specific version of Office that is widely pirated
(sold outside of a business/home use relationship) Microsoft and most of the
people on this voluntary newsgroup wants all assistance to come from either
the IT department of your company or from Microsoft directly. As this
program is only sold through a form of volume licensing you need to go that
route for further help.

See https://licensing.microsoft.com/eLicense/L1033/Overview.asp (all the way
to the bottom and part is shown here)
