I recently installed the SP2 upgrade on my XP Home system. It went on with
no problems, but when I tried to publish a website from FP2000 the publish
function failed with "No server found at port 80." The interesting thing
was the Publish function was able to communicate with the remote website and
determine which files needed to be published etc. But it could not do the
actual publish function.
I fixed the problem by turning off the SP2 Firewall. It's noteworthy that
the SP2 Firewall did NOT give me a message saying the FrontPage was trying
to do something....the only indicator I got was the "No server...." message
from FrontPage.
I've left the Firewall disabled since it seems it is not totally reliable.
