SP2 update and Front Page

R

Rick Budde

My Windows XP Home auto-update feature has recently
downloaded SP2. I have not installed it.

Reading between the lines in this newsgroup, it seems
that Front Page (I am using 2002 version) starts to
encounter various problems after installation of SP2.

I realize some of the good things that SP2 provides me
but I don't want a rash of FP problems. Do I have a valid
reason for not installing SP2 or am I just being a tad
paranoid? Any advice and guidance would be appreciated.

Rick,

I am using FP 03 and installed the SP2 update. I have encountered no
problems, but one thing you will notice is testing in "Preview in Browser".

For static html you will be fine, but if testing scrptiing, it will be
blocked until you allow scripts to run. You can change some settings in the
IE options for testing scripts and then your fine.

Personally I think the added security is well worth the minor changes you
will experience.
