A mystery! When I am in slideshow view, my slides no longer advance with the space bar.

The space bar works in other apps--but no longer in PPT in slideshow view. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Is this with all presentations or just some?

Check to see if a particular presentation has been saved in Kiosk mode
(slide show setup dialog). If so, that'd account for this behavior.

Do other methods work? Page Up/Down, Return, Mouse click, Arrow Keys?

That's curious -- there is no Preference or setting within PPT to control
which keys can/cannot advance the slides.

Does the spacebar operate as it should within that same file for editing
purposes? As Steve asked previously, is this occurring in one specific file
or does it happen with all files? What is the file format (.ppt, .pptx,
..ppsx... )?

What happens if you launch PPT while holding the shift key, then open & run
that same file?

Sorry Katie, but unless you supply answers to the questions that have been
asked there isn't much we can do to assist.
