spaces after returns

I've been fighting with this problem for a week. I am
trying to put my genealogy into FrontPage which I have in
about 200 Word Documents. When I copy the Word document
to FrontPage, whereever I have a return, it automatically
puts in a blank line instead of the single space as is in
the document. How do I get it to single space? This is
driving my crazy!!! Here's an example:

This is what I want:

Jacob Hellinger (Hedinger)
Birth: 1646, Switzerland
Death: December 28, 1693, Switzerland

This is what I get:

Jacob Hellinger (Hedinger)

Birth: 1646, Switzerland

Death: December 28, 1693, Switzerland

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Delete the Word spacing and replace with the Shift+Enter
where you want single space lines.

Thanks. I've just been trying a trial evaluation of Front Page and was having this same problem.

Thank you so much!!! I knew it had to be something
simple, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

When using FrontPage or any html editor you have to use Shift+Enter for a single space line.

.You can try to format your paragraph. Highlight the 3
lines you want to format. Click on Format...click on
Paragraph. Make the spacing before and after both zeroes.
It works for me

Click on Format . Click on Paragraph.
Set the spacing before and aftr to zero.
