Spacing between lines varies?

Under format>line spacing I have it set to 1 line.

Some of my slides seem to have double spacing though. Does anyone have any
idea what might be causing this?

Thanks.

Check also what is set in the space before and space after boxes. This adds
space when a return is pressed.

Adding to what Rae said - when you check these settings, they will be blank
(vs 0+)if the settings between lines and paragraphs are different.

Did this help?

And to add to what the others have mentioned, you might also want to look
for extra carriage returns and just delete them. Unfortunately, PPT doesn't
have a way to display nonprinting characters the way Word does, so you just
have to use the arrow keys to move from the end of one line to the beginning
of the next. If your cursor stops in the blank space between lines, that
means someone has hit Enter an extra time to add space between the lines (my
clients do this all the time -- it makes me nuts) and you need to backspace
(or hit delete, depending) to get rid of it.

This probably isn't what's causing the problem in your case, but I thought
I'd mention it anyway. :)

Thanks everyone for your help!!!!

It was the "space before and space after boxes" that was causing it.
