Spam designation in messages -- can't get rid of

L

MS Outlook, 2003: Now, not before, my incoming messages often contain
SPAM tag, not Junk, and two buttons appeared in toolbar, "Mark as Spam"
& "Not Spam". Then these buttons disappeared and I can't get rid of SPAM
label on many of my received messages, and have to delete the tag in
reply or forward so my receipients don't think I think they are SPAM.
Office Help topics only deal with Junk, not SPAM. How do I stop MS
Outlook from tagging my received messages as SPAM, and in the
alternative, how do I get the SPAM and NOT SPAM buttons back again. I
can't find them in looking at tool bar menus

OL doesnt tag/mark msgs as spam ( assuming you mean from has Spam appended
to it) your AV or anti spam application may do so.
