spam email

Hiya,

Just a quick post. I have recently been receiving thousands of spam messages
(as I am sure many of you have been) and took the advice from a general
posting a changed my email address for newsgroup postings.
I was wondering how long should it be (on average) that it will take for the
spams to stop? Is it a matter of my mail messages (with the real email)
expiring from the news server?

Yes, partially. But if your address is stored at the spammers it could be
forever. Mine flood of mail of Swen went from 800 when it started to about
50 now and I hadn't even used my real address...
