Is there any way to block "spam" emails in Outlook 97?
Although it is a separate program, I would suggest you try MailWasher:

It's a free program that lets you see your e-mail while it's still on
the server and lets you delete what you don't want to download into
your Inbox.
I have no connection to the program except that I'm a happy, satisfied
user of the paid version.
