spammers

You have to wonder. Surely the potential return on unsolicited ads has
to be incredibly small.

I think there two levels of people being exploited: the overburdened
masses, getting their mailboxes stuffed with crap, and the legions of
the gullible who have been convinced by someone that spamming can make
them rich.

When one person can potentially sumbit smap to thousands of newsgroups. If
only a few people respond to the ad, they it's probably worth it to them.

We just need to find these people who are replying and have them dragged
into the street and beaten.

Spam is bad because no intelligent person would believe it works. What
you mainly see are gullible idiots who have got a hold of some mass
e-mail tool. Such people are genetically incapable of writing ad copy.
In their hot rush to strike it rich, most won't even bother to spell
check their work.

I see only two ways to make money with spam: get and sell e-mail lists
to morons with the easy money mentality, or push porn.

No credible marketing organization would ever rely on unsolicited
e-mail to sell their goods. Thus, no good spam.
