Schalk,
I guess you don't have Project Server : by default it saves the projects in
a SQL Server database.
So, create a DSN on SQL Server : Start/Settings/ Controle Panel/Data source
names... by default the SQL Server driver is there.
Then, in MS Project : File / Save As... / ODBC... and select your DSN
