Hi Lindy
You cannot drag these panes around as you can in some other programs. What
you could try is View tab (Window menu in versions before 2007) > New Window
to get a second copy in a new window then Arrange All
Now adjust one copy to show minimum note space and the other to show maximum
note space. You should end up wth notes alongside the slide.

In 2003 it's in the Window Menu not the View tab.

Got that. Have followed your instructions to maximize and minimize, but now
what? How does that convert to notes at side? Is there another step? Thanks.

"Windows>Arrange All" to get the two windows side by side. Now in one window
move the dividing slider to hide the notes pane and in the other make the
notes pane as large as possible and the slide tiny. It's the best you can do
AFAIK.
