Special characters and OLAP cubes

I've been told that special characters cannot be used in the title of a
project plan as it interfers with the OLAP cube generation. Can they be used
within the project plan? While most special characters are easy to avoid,
some (&-/) are hard to avoid.

Using those special characters in project names, custom enterprise Project
outline codes, and custom enterprise Resource Outline codes can cause errors
when the OLAP cube rebuilds. Therefore, I would recommend you vigorously
avoid using them in this manner. I'm not aware of problems caused by using
them at the task level, but perhaps others can comment on that. Hope this
