Special Fonts

Version: 2008 Processor: Intel A Friend of mine asked this question which I believed to be interesting as well as challenging!

My friend works for a Publishing company and they have bought some special designed fonts. My friend asked that if a PowerPoint presentation was created with those fonts and sent to their clients will the clients be able to see the exact fonts or will their be any variations? She said that some of her cleinst were compaining that they can't see teh fonts properly. Do the fonts have to installed on their computers as well? I know in PC version you have aa feature called Pageage for CD whcih allows you to embedd True Type Fonts but I couldn't see the Package for CD fgeature in powerPoint 2008!

None of the Office apps for Mac support font embedding. In fact, the
facility is one that can be problematic because of copyright laws plus the
fact that many fonts are not embeddable in the first place.

In order to make certain that the content displays as intended it's best if
the required fonts are installed on the system where the file is being
displayed. Custom fonts are fine for in-house use & printed material, but
they can be a slippery slope for files distributed electronically.
