Specific Permission to let Team Members see a specific Project Center View

I know if i give a user Executive or Project Manager Permissions they can
see the full project in Projects view, but how do i give permissions to see
a specific project only to a team member without making him a PM or
Executive.

This is eluding me. Thanks for any pointers...

To allow team members to see their projects in PWA, complete the following
steps:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Manage security link
4. Select the My Task category in the grid and then click the Modify
Category button
5. In the Users and groups section, select the Team Members group
6. In the Permission grid, make sure the "See Projects in Project Center"
and "See Projects in Project Views" permissions are set to Allow
7. In the Projects section, select the Project views you wish them to see
8. In the Project Center Views section, select the Project Center views you
wish them to see
9. Click the Save Changes button

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale,

Now by this method - it would seem that i need to create a separate group
per project so the users only see their own projects rather than everyone
seeing all the projects? So, create a group called Project1 and put the
users i want to see project1 in there and give project1 permissions?

Or is there a way for me to specify that users can see the projects they are
a part of?

Thanks again for the response!

No, you definitely DO NOT need to create special groups for each project.
The default My Tasks category gives team members permissions to see only the
projects to which they are assigned. Hope this helps.

"An error occured while completing the operation." whenever i try to save
the catagory. :(

From my event log:

Component: PjSvrSecurity

File:
C:\Office\dev\project\WebClient\source\server\pjsvrsecurity\CPjSvrSecurity.c
pp

Line: 2335

Error Number: 0x80004005

Description:
Assert Detected. The error code was also
included.

In the admin->clean up project server database I deleted a couple of
Resources that I had "deactivated" and now this function works.

Very lucky guess on that one.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for posting the last bit, I was stuck with some Modify Category
errors and was getting nowhere. Same solution applied.

"vbscript microsoft office project web access 2003
an error occured while completing the operation"

Component: PjSvrSecurity

etc.
