Spell check in English

How can I get Powerpoint to spell check in English instead
of Spanish or French? I've tried the Tools, Language
command and this makes no difference. This is happening
on more than 1 computer.

Have you changed the regional settings under
Start | Settings | Control Panel | Regional Settings | Language
to English?
