spell check loop error on office 2003 suite

I have Office 2003 Pro installed on an XP SP3 machine. Everything has been working fine up until recently.

Now, whenever I launch any application (Word, Excel, Outlook, Homesite, etc) that uses the Word engine for text editing, the open document immediately goes into an infinite spell check loop. I either get a list of misspelled words (when present in existing documents) or a dialog box stating "Spell check complete" (even in new, blank documents). Clicking OK just relaunches the spell check function.

Of course, I cannot work since this loop completely captures the application.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks!

Completely uninstalled and reinstalled my Office suite. Problem still exists which suggests this may be an OS level issue, not Office.

Also, unplugged the keyboard just in case it was a stuck F7 key. No effect.

Thanks!

Found 2 hardware drivers installed for a single keyboard. Deleted both drivers, then un-plugged and plugged USB keyboard into port. This re-installed a single driver.
Happy, happy, happy!
