spell check

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

when i transfer a document from NeoOffice to Word by cutting and pasting it, spell check feature does not work. what is the way to turn it on?
When i try scroll-down menu, it tells me that "spelling and grammar check is complete", which is actually not the case, spelling and grammar check were not completed.

It may very well be that the Language formatting of what you pasted is
different than the Language which your Dictionary is using. See the
