Spell Checker Problem - Word 2007

I am having trouble with my spell checker in Microsoft Office Word 2007.
Whenever I click spell check, it only does the green squigglies. I will
purposely misspell a word and the red squiggly will not show up. It also
does this in outlook. How can I fix this?

Have you checked in Word Options, Proofing Tab that Spelling has not been
disabled and that Check Spelling as You Type is Enabled?

I'd check that all the languages (Windows, Keyboard and Office) are all set
to your local default language. If you invoke a manual Spell Check (F7),
what happens?

There is another problem with the Spell Checker and that is it's not
compatible with MSN 9.5 Premium.

The MSN e-mail spell checker is dependent upon Word, and Word 2007 will not
work with MSN.

Same company, but obviously the right hand doesn't speak to the left hand.

I'm totally frustrated.

when i purposely misspell a word, first, no red line comes up under it. when
i do hit F7 the spell checker pops up but only checks from grammer errors,
not spelling. only green lines show up as well. how do i chekc windows, the
keyboard and office for the languages?

Does this occur in one particular document, or in all new documents, or
what? In Word 2007, click on Office Button | Word Options | Proofing |
uncheck the "Hide spelling errors in this document only" box |
Exceptions for: All New Documents | OK.

Depends on what version of Windows. You don't seem to know, and we
can't see your screen from here.

I found a solution to the problem that is not a quick fix cover up.
Just as a preface i was using an XP machine but it should work on
vista as well.

1. Open Outlook
2. Goto Tools
3. Trust Center
4. Add-Ins Menu (left pane)
5. Manage (bottom of window) -> select disabled Add-Ins -> go
6. Look for Add-In relating to speller or checker

have fun :)
