Spell Checker unavailable

I have four Windows 2000 machines running Office 97 on our
domain(NT4). Users of these machines cannot use the spell
checker functions with their restricted user accounts. I'm
pretty sure this is a local policy setting since making
the users power users enabled the spell checker function.
Any help on finding and setting this policy would be
appreciated.

This is not exactly the issue, but I'd imagine the registry keys are
pretty close -- in other words, this may give you at least some ideas of
where to look...

I just give the users full access in the registry key

HLEY Local Machine\Software

This sorts out most of the problems
