Spell checking no "proofing error"

I tried to download a document to my mac word that was a .docx file
and now the spell checker on my word is giving me the following error
message: "The spelling and grammar check is complete. Text set to
(no proofing) was skipped. To find (no proofing) text, click Edit/
Replace, click More, click Format, click Language and choose (no
proofing). " I did follow the directions however it is not turning my
spell checker back on. This is now affecting all new documents that
I try to open.

Does anyone know how to repair this issue? Please

I have a mac I book G3 and I am using office 2004 my word version is
11.5.0

It sounds to me that you should be asking this question in the Word
newsgroup (microsoft.public.mac.office.word) instead of in this one.
