Spellcheck

We are running Word 97 on a Windows NT network. One PC is shared by two operators, but neither of them can get Spellcheck to operate- it is greyed out as an option. However, if I log in as myself, it is available. Have tried giving the other User Admin privileges but this doesn't work either. Any ideas?

Admin rights isn't necessarily rights to everything. It's a permissions
error, but probably hard work to track down. I guess what I would first
do as a way to fix the problem and get on with things is to simply log
into this workstation as each person's ID, then use the Word 97 CD to
re-install the spell checking. This will reset files/registries/etc for
each id, hopefully making it work when each person logs into their own
id. (You don't say that they have their own ID ... I'm assuming they do).

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
