What do you mean by "checked previously"? Words you have corrected? Words
you have told Word to ignore? Ignoring seems to work only for the specific
Word session (sometimes not even that long). You might experiment with
formatting the words as "Do not check spelling or grammar" (Tools | Language
| Set Language) to see if that "takes" any better. An easy way to do this is
to create a character style with the language set to "Do not check spelling
or grammar." Then apply that character style (which can otherwise be the
Default Paragraph Font) to words you want the spelling checker to ignore.
And of course the words you use frequently can be added to the custom
dictionary.
