If in one cell, A1 (example) a user has typed in Rank, last name, first name,
employee number what is a formula that will spilt the cell so that: Rank,
LName, FName, Emp No. will be in 4 seperate columns? I cannot figure this
out. Thanks

Hi, rather than using a formula, have you considered using Data, Text to
Columns, and using comma delimited as the criteria?

Make sure there are no data in the next 3 columns to the right, if there is
insert
new empty columns, select the column and do data>text to columns, delimited,
click next and as delimiter select comma, click finish
