Hi,
Small network - just 2 PC's joined. I have split an access 2003 db and have
the BE in the shared public folder of one PC. One PC is running access 2003
on vista (this one has the BE db - call it PC1) the other is running access
2007 on vista (PC2). FE held on each PC in document folder. Both work
individually. PC1 works fine. All the problems occur with the PC2. If PC1
is using the db, then PC2 tries to open the db - the system just hangs until
PC1 exits. If PC2 starts the FE first, it opens ok but stops working (hangs
again) when PC1 starts their FE.
I have read many threads and am able to create and delete files in the BE
directory from PC2. I have all db's set to open in shared mode, default
record locking set to no locks (I have tried Edited Record) and 'Open db's by
using record-level locking' is ticked.
Any advice greatly appreciated!
