Splitting a cell into two (but diagonally)

Jason

I'm trying to split a small square cell into two cells,
but at a diagonal (forward slash type diagonal). I only
see how to split cells vertically or horizontally? Is it
possible to do what I want to do?

G'day "Jason" <[email protected]>,

You can fake it using a diagonal border, but the cell itself doesnt
split that way.

NOt with Word, no. Word doesn't not split cells diagonally
(although Word 2002 and later can display a diagonal
BORDER)

Perhaps MS planned (or still plans?) to introduce some feature like that...

The macro should display something about a "multi-diagonal cell" in
Word2000 and above:

Dim myCBC As CommandBarControl
Set myCBC = CommandBars.FindControl(ID:=3961)
MsgBox myCBC.Caption, , myCBC.DescriptionText

Never was able to figure out what that command is about; it's on the Table
menu but can't be made visible.
