Hello,
I have access 2003 database with user level security on it.
I have split the database with wizard and backend database is not protected.
So I read article telling how to manually split database.
I do not see how to first step- If I don't have uls on it - I can do it.
the trouble I have is - maybe I am doing wrong- but the first step says copy
the database.
Well I have shortcut to login to database- I don't know how else to open it-
if I just copy database- I won't be able to open it because the shortcut I
think is only to the original one.
thank you

Please remember: user level security (ULS) is an advanced topic which
you don't want to touch until you download, study, and fully
understand the Access Security FAQ from microsoft.com.

That said, I understand you have a shortcut only and don't know how to
make a copy of the file it points to. Right-click the shortcut, go to
Properties, and the Target field will show you where it is.
