Spooler Error - no Local Resources

We are getting spooler errors: "The Manager cannot create the resource
account (0x8C040017)" Spooler error. I know that local resources can cause
this - but the projects we are getting this on do NOT have any local
resources. We do have quite a few inactive resources - but no local
resources.

Is there other conditions that would cause this spooler error?

Scott:

We've seen enterprise resources get converted to local resources within a
project plan. Are you certain you reviewed the project resources carefully?
When you apply the resource sheet view, do you see any blank lines or lines
with only one data field populated. I've seen fat-fingered resource sheets
cause this error.

We don't use the email functionality - none of our resources have this field
populated and we never had this error before - so that can't be it.

Gray - I checked these and they all look good. The Enterprise Pool
information is populating in all resources - so this is not causing the
problem. Any other ideas?

I posted a note on something like this, yesterday. It may be caused by
converting (in PWA) a user from Windows authentication to PWA
authentication in order that a user be able to log on from a remote
location or perhaps an untrusted domain.

J,
This is exactly what happened. When a resource is inactivated, they loose
there authentication ID. Is there a fix or work-around for these to prevent
the spooler error from ocurring? Thanks for your response

Heads up, a couple of days later and tasks these accounts are assigned
to are having other problems. Names of the accounts have somehow
changed.
