spread sheet in personal.xls

I made a big mistake and entered spreadsheet data into personal.xls. I wish
I could get it out of personal.xls and into some other file but I cannot
figure out how to do that. Please help.

Window>Unhide>Personal.xls

Cut the data and paste to another workbook.

Re-hide Personal.xls.

Next time you close Excel you will be asked if you want to save Personal.xls

Ckick "Yes"
