SQL Error 53

I'm getting a SQL error 53 when one of my workstations opens Project
Pro 2003 and tries to connect to Project Server 2003:

Connection failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server Error: 53
[Microsoft][OBDC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen
(Connect())
SQLState: '08001'
SQL Server Error: 17
[Microsoft][OBDC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]Server does not exist or
access denied

My other workstations, configured identically, do connect properly.

From the problem workstation, I can connect to Sharepoint, etc, all on
the same server.

Any ideas how to proceed?
