I have table with 2 columns one is autonumber and second is some numbers let say from 1 - 99 , but they are not put in order. And I need query that will return me the smallest range of consecutive numbers... ( the amount of them is given ) for example if I will put 5 and there are exactly 5 consecutive numbers it should return first of them. and if thre is more that five and i need five it should return the smallest range. The problem is like choosing places in theater , there come a group of 30 peoples and it's better to give them 30 cosecutive places. The problem is a bit artificial,but I need to solve it.
