SQL Server error

A user trying to publish his changes is recieving a sql server errorMi

Connection failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server Error: 10054
Microsoft ODBC SQL Server Driver DBNETLIB ConnectionRead(recv()).
Connection failed:
SQLState:'08S01'
SQL Server Error: 11
Microsoft ODBC SQL Server Driver DBNETLIB General Network error. Check your
network.

If he clicks ok he gets a sql server login box for him to log in as
MSProject User. Has anyone encountered this. He is the only user experiencing
the issue.
