SQL Server Login Error while connecting from MPP .Please help

While connecting to the project server from Microsoft
Project (ie;client) it is throwing the error.The error is
as follows.

Connection failed
SQL state:'01000'
SQL Server error:1231
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Named Pipes]Connection
Open(Create File()).
Connection Failed.
SQL State:'08001'
SQL Server Error 1231
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] Client unable to
establish Connection.

The above message is coming with an "OK" Button. While
clicking on the "OK" Button a second screen is coming for
SQL Login which contains the following.

Server:server name
Login ID :MSProjectUser
Password:***********

All the users who is facing this problem has permissions
to access the MPP's.But again they are getting the above
problem.

Can anybody help to solve this problem???

What steps have you followed to get the client connected?

There are settings in Internet Explorer you need to configure and settings in MS Project Server Accounts Adminstration. Read up on those and see if that helps.
