SQL Stencil Integration

I would like to create a stencil that is integrated with a SQL server. An
example might be that the stencil shapes change (add, subtract) based on the
number of records returned in a query. I have tried looking for examples but
am unsure where to start. This is the start of a larger idea I have of tying
Visio to an application development framework we have here at work. Any help
is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

one scenario might be to create a recordset within sql with the data that
you want to 'track' and then use it as a data source for a v2007pro
datalinking diagram.
