SQL View as default?

Is it possible to set the SQL as the default for designing queries?

Or to jump straight there from the database query listing?

Not as far as I'm aware. If you switch to SQL view and save the query, it
should come up in SQL view next time you open the query. Other than that, I
don't believe there's a user-controllable option.

about QueryDef and 'GUI'?

Should you ever determine how to accomplish the task you asked about,
I would be grateful to hear it (I use MS Access 2000, and am not sure
what version you are using).
