Sr-1 and SR-2 Access 97

I'm really having problems installing Access 97 on a new XP Pro system
with 1GB of memory.

A97 would fail to open with "Out of Memory" message. MS says "Out of
Memory" due to an A97 bug when system has 1GB of memory.
I'd like to install the latest (Jet 3.51 update - Q161255), but I don't
have SR-1 or SR-2 installed against A97.

Is it OK to apply SR1 and SR2 against A97 on an XP system?

Hasn't someone else run into this situation?
Thanks for any help in advance.

As far as I know, it is ok to apply Office 97 SR1 and SR2 to an Office 97
install on a WinXP system. In fact, I would recommend it unless you hear
something that definitive that would indicate otherwise.

Yes, you can and should (must) install SR1 and SR2 to Access 97.

Unfortunately, that can be difficult: The patches may refuse to
run if you have other copies of Office installed on the PC.

It is easier to have an actual SR2 copy of Access (hard to find!).
I sometimes use a patched runtime install to do the update.

Thanks for the input everyone. Much appreciated.
I'll attempt to apply SR1 and SR2 to my A97, and then the Jet 3.51 update.

Thanks,
