SSL site not accessible through AOL 9

Hello,
I am not new to web development and have used both FrontPage and
Dreamweaver for a long time. I actually prefer the code view to make my
modifications. I am proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript as well
as familiar with PHP and mySQL. I have recently set up a web store that
uses osCommerce 2.2 It is hosted on a web server that is running a
Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP environment. I have a Secure site certificate
installed on the server. I have tested it in IE6, IE7, Firefox,
Netscape and AOL Explorer and it displays and acts the way it was
designed. Recently I was at a friends house and wanted to show them the
site I built as I am very proud of how it came out. They use AOL 9
software to access the internet even though they have high speed cable
modem. I found that it would not let me log into any of the secure
pages on my site at all. I could not even view a product description
without logging in. It automatically forwarded me to a login screen
instead of the normal index page. On top of that even if I made a new
account up on the server it wanted me to log in everytime I tried to go
from one page to another. Throughout this experience I also got an
error 504 which indicates a server timeout. When I came home I checked
the site on all the other browsers and found it functioning flawlessly.
I really believe it is an issue with AOL 9 software but with millions
of aol users out there I don't know where to start with this. I don't
think AOL will help in this issue at all. I am hoping that others in
here will have experienced this and will have a reasonable solution.

Check you SSL Certificate as it may not be supported by AOL 9 browser.

It seems to work ok with all the browsers out there including aol
explorer. The problem only happens when you try to access the pages
from within aol 9 software itself. I was unaware that a secure site
certificate could cause people not to be able to view the pages. The
thing is with aol still having such a large customer base I don't think
it will allow you access to any secure pages. I was looking at it last
night on google and it seems that the issue is widespread when dealing
with secure pages.
