Stacked Charts with Vertical Separation

I have created the stacked charts with the separation and am now trying to
put in the chart labels as described in Jon Peltier's instructions

http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/StackedCharts.html

and Paste Special is not an option. I have 5 series of data with 29
observations per series. This has worked for other graphs, just not this
one. I can add the data another way, but want to know why Paste Special
isn't working. Any suggestions?

You're pasting the series that define the custom Y axis labels? Are the data ranges
contiguous? Can you add the series through the Source Data dialog (Chart menu),
Series tab?

Yes, I'm pasting the series that defines the custom Y axis labels. I added
the data using the source data dialog on the chart menu. My chart data is
in B2:D30 and my label data is in B37:D58.

I do have quite a few worksheets in this workbook. Could that be part of
the problem?

Your site has been invaluable to me. Thanks for the effort you put into
your it.

You mean Paste Special is grayed out? I can't figure why, unless the workbook has
been compromised. Does it also not work on other charts in that worksheet?
