Standard and Formatting Toolbars

In Excel 2008 on my Mac, the standard and formatting toolbars don't show up. Anyone know why and/or how to fix?

You mean you tried and they didn¹t show up, or that they are not visible.
Did you check the view-toolbars menu choice? Don¹t forget about the
formatting palette ­ the best and easiest way to use these in Excel 2008.

Thanks Bob,

I just figured out that they show up on top of each open workbook and not as"stand alone" bar as they did in earlier versions.

Kind of a nuisance because you have to have the workbook open wide enough to show your favorite options instead of one long isolated bar. Or am I missing something?
