standard error in a bar graph

Can you please let me know if it is possible to graph standard error in a bar
graph using Power Point software? Thank you, Anne

I don't know about that but is there a reason why you can't create it with
Excel and put that graph in PowerPoint?

Not for individual data points, it's not. You can right-click and choose
Format Data Series and see if the stuff on the Y Error Bars tab will do what
you need. If not, you'll need to use Excel, where you can input a data range
for the error amount (which PPT doesn't allow us to do).

Also note that you can't add error bars to 3D column charts.

Finally, you can copy a chart in Excel and paste it into PPT. It's usually
better if, when you create the chart in Excel, you put it on its own chart
sheet as opposed to leaving it on the data sheet.
